Getting Awesome with Our Awesome Friends.

When I heard that we got a booking at Stanto's Play House I went out and got a new tattoo. True story. Well not exactly, I did get a new tattoo and we did get booked at Santo's Playhouse but the two are unrelated. Anyway, Santo's Workshop is apparently on of the best sound systems on this warming planet. We are playing there tonight along our new best friends Neon Hitch and Benny Blanco and old best friend Boy Boy and his partner Callecuttar (soon to be best friend) known together as The Chimney Climbers. Flat out it is a all star line up that is collectively the new face of Pilot Creative. More on that later. It is going to be a complete circus with some of the crispest sound the city with some of the hardest working talents in music today.

It is totally free with RSVP at pilotpartyatsantos@gmail.com

After the roof top BBQ's,  Brunches, McCarren Pool Partie, Coney Island trip, day at the beach, Museum of Natural History, and PS1 shower up and celebrate your gay/strait or indifferent pride at our showcase party.

Love

Summer Time Banger, Trey Songz.

It is no secret I am not the biggest Kanye West fan and despite that "Flashing Lights" is a well made and catchy song the next time you think about playing the overplayed College Dropout consider Trey Songz - Missing You. I heard the song on Hot 97 while being driven to the Fader Magazine party the other day. Trey Songz who I have never heard of before has the summertime anthem if you ask me. The production is tight as fuck and the voice effects that are way over used in modern hip hop actually sounds great. The beat is simple, clean and the lyrics are just great to sing along to when you are drunk and horny.

I think Trey is tapping into the right market. With 90's R&B on the rise and Aaliyah on the cover the same Fader Magazine party I was attending and not to mention R. Kelly getting off on fucking that young girl Trey is put a modern twist on 90's summer R&B well love.

My summertime banger Trey Songz - Missing You.

I am really happy...

... that angry dike did not win.

Seriously.

Sorry for the decline in posts. I quit my bullshit job and have been spending my newly acquired free time evening out my tan and mastering my jump shot.

Miss y'all!

New mix coming soon...

The Deathset!!!!!!!!!!

May 12
This Thursday I will have the pleasure of reconnecting with my brother from another mother Japhet of The Deathset, while getting hammered at their after party. We also have Dan Sena of the Busywork party coming in from the west coast to tear the house down.

Wear something comfortable, it is going to get messy.

Love.

Ohh Busta, The Computer Can't Be That Bad, Right?

May 8
I found this while browsing through some videos of artists working in the studio. Basically, Busta is really saying shit like "When I was a kid.." or "I remember when.." about the music making process in this footage. I am not sure if I agree with him or not. I do agree that the computer is deprecating the value of musicians and people in general, but I also think that programs like Ableton and Pro Tools provide people that can't afford studio set ups and whatnot to remain completive against the giant record labels that attempt to feed people what they consider is good music. The power of music is back in the peoples hands.

Affordable music software gives people the power to get involved in music and allows people to enjoy music for sheer content and not image or advertisement. Artists like Justice, Gnarls Barkley, and Chromeo owe most of their success to this new way of piloting music. Their quality of music beat out the quantity. In the same respect, things like blogs and myspace allow writers or semi writers to compete with accredited magazines, newspapers and essays. Like this little post for example.

Who knows?

PS: Don't get me wrong I love Busta Rhymes.

Benny Blanco + Spank Rock + Kylie Minouge = Holy Fucking Shit!

Everyone knows that Spank Rock and Benny Blanco mix better than peanut butter and jelly or Wall St business men and cocaine but to collaborate over a Kylie Minogue is just pure sexy. This is my personal pick for "Song of the month to pour lube on girls to." Expect for this song to fuck your ear holes all summer. Download the shit and go buy Kay Y with the money you saved on the free music.

Kylie Minogue Featuring MC Spank Rock - Heart Beat Rock (Benny Blanco Remix)

Holler for a dollar,

Love
