Sooo,
London is sick! I had so much more time to be on the internet and write blogs while I was in Austria. Once I touched down in London, that all changed. This place has been so great to me.
It all started when for some reason, my phone clock was one hour behind my watch clock. I set my alarm on my phone for 6:30 AM because I had to catch a bus to the Bratislava airport at 7:20. I woke up after one hour of sleep (I couldn't sleep, too excited to go to London. My stomach was also pretty jacked up because I had to have one last cheese filled hot dog from the wiener stand in Vienna. So I'm packing my bags and brushing my teeth when I put my watch on to see that it's really 7:30, and have already missed my bus by 10 minutes. I chuck the rest of my shit into my bag in a super duper hurry and run out the door. I felt bad since I was gonna leave a cute little note for the people that I was staying with and flew me out here (sorry!). I get there and see that there's another bus leaving at 8:30. My flight leaves at 10:45 so this is really cutting it close. The whole bus ride I was checking my watch and looking out the window like a crazy person, but I made it to Bratislava right on time. The lady at check-in said I had to check my bag since it was too heavy, but I did my best to flirt my way through. It worked and she let me take it on with a smile. After that I headed through security check, where they made me take everything out of my DJ bag (I guess a Serato box and a bunch of wires can look a little shady).
I got on a packed Ryan Air plane and finally sit down. This chick that I talked to while getting my passport checked ended up sitting next to me. We talked for a while and it turns out she lives in NY (she lives in both NY and London). She was a Russian born model named Svetlana. She ended up helping me out so much on this trip. She bought me a drink on the plane, a bus ticket to Central London (including my return ticket to the airport), food, and let me use her phone to call my friends. She was a for real angel. Since I've been here it's been amazing. London is fucking sick. It's funny because tons of other NY heads are randomly out here at the same time. So far I've run into Anton Glamb (Drunk/Artist/Skater), Prince Terrence (Santogold/High Voltage), Luca (Drop The Lime), Lauren Flax (iheartcomix), and Lief (Palms Out). It's been like a little Brooklyn, I love it!
More stories 2 come.
peace
Lucas
P.S.
I made a Flicker account so I could dump the pics I take on my handy camera.
